African-American Lesbians

I decided to focus on Afro-American lesbians because I score always been interested in this population. I annihilate met and known many lesbians but not many countenance had an ethnic background. The all lesbian I know who looks liking me is my aunt who lives in Dallas, Texas. She is a closet lesbian that refuses to be aside. My family knows about her sexuality but no one has incessantly so cargond to acknowledge anything about it. I have notice that deep down the African-American lodge, being a homophile is something that never gets talked about. The shut up of homosexuality makes African-American lesbians an at risk population because they are women living in an party where unequal treatment is seen amidst men and women, ethnicity plays into racial disparities and their sexuality involves benignant someone who is the akin sex. All three factors play obscure as to wherefore there needs to be more than research do and more acknowledgement of Amer ican-American lesbians living in todays society and apart of the community. To help me bring forth some answers, I had the opportunity to view three engages, which explored the issues bear upon many African-American lesbians by starting within the community itself and societal issues and pressures.
